URGENT RECALL BY ACCC – CHILD CAR BOOSTER SEAT BACKLESS KIDS FRONT FACING.

ยท

They advise that the product does not comply with the mandatory safety standard for child restraints for use in motor vehicles. there is a risk of serious injury or death if the vehicle abruptly stops or is in an accident.

Consumers should do stop using the seat immediately an return it as per the instructions on the ACCC website: https://www.productsafety.gov.au/…/child-car-booster...

Kidsafe Tasmania Peter Gillon supports this recall, and has advised that booster cushions do not meet Australian safety standards and are illegal to use in Australia as they do not provide adequate side impact or head protection. While it may be legal for a child to sit in a car without a booster seat at the age of seven, the safest practice is to continue using a high-backed or approved backless booster seat until the child is 145cm tall.
